Thanks guy's for looking at my blog!

Bolter & Chainsword Painter

Hi guy's it's WarPainter40K here and I want to show you a neat tool for creating a custom colour scheme or custom chapter for your Space Marines.

The tool itself is completely free and is a web-based tool.

The Bolter & Chainsword Space Marine Painter

I have thrown together a quick YouTube tutorial at the bottom of the page but you can also just read the instructions I have below!

1.Click the link above!

2.You will see a Space Marine figure.

3.You can click on any of his body parts to open a HEX, RGB colour editor. You can change about using the old fashioned               'drag the circle and line to get your colour' tool.
(That probably sounded really weird)
But you can also choose from a drop down menu of all the            real Citadel Paints that you can choose from.

4.You can download this image if you really want to by clicking 'Download this image'.

5.If you don't know what paints you should get for this colour scheme you should click 'What paints do I need?'
This will show a large lump of text but if you scroll down it will show a table of colours and body parts and will tell you the closest paint match , so try and get the number below the paint to as close to 0 as possible!

That was probably a little hard to understand so you should watch the video below!

Thanks for reading this and watching the video, this WarPainter40K saying goodbye to another post!

Warhammer 40K - Painting and model room setup

Hi guys, it's CoreyPizzle here with that promised guide on how to get a good setup for making your Warhammer 40K painting, etc. room. This tutorial is pretty picture-filled so if you don't want to look at them i'll leave a video at the bottom of the post.

Here is an overall look at my setup which is on  a desk with a rollout keyboard compartment underneath.

This is obviously the most important  product that you will need for your setup - An unpainted model!

You are obviously going to need some paints. There are 4 types of paints to get, colour, foundation, undercoat black and washes.
Colour - For the details.
Foundation - One of your main colours.
Wash - Used for shading.
Undercoat Black - For the undercoat of black.... I think. LOL

For gluing your models together you should use plastic glue , I use CONTACTA PROFESSIONAL.
Here is your most trusty tool... the brush! Brushes are colour-coded in the CITADEL world.
Light Orange = Superfine Detail
Yellow = Fine Detail
Black = Starter Brush

You can find that sometimes your pieces of your model can become ruined during the clipping process so you my want to file down any rough edges using a file.

Sometimes your models base - the black stand it is on - can look a bit bland, so you can put on some terrain  like this sand terrain I have here. In later tutorials i'll show you how to use it.

Sometimes when you are trying to paint the eyes it can be a little tricky so I use the sharp end of this dart and dab some paint onto it and  lightly poke the eyes on my model.

The 'Chaos Black' spray paint is quite commonly used for 'Undercoat Black' for the models such as an Imperial Bastion or Ork Stronghold.

And finally we have our small cup with some water in it to clean our paintbrushes.

Here is the video if you couldn't be bothered looking at the images.

Thanks for reading and watching and sorry for the shaky video, I tried to stabilize it using the YouTube video editor but it just made it look like a slow motion pendulum.
